VASO Conference o.O

So on Friday (the 20th) Jared and I left at 5:30 in the morning to drive to Medford. My teachers earlier in the semester decided to make a VASO Conference attendance mandatory. The teacher who made this mandatory said there would be test questions on our exam the next Monday from the speakers talks. So Jared drove me to Medford :)

The VASO Conference was supposed to start at 8:20AM and end at 5PM.. right.. It was held at Providence Medford Hospital. The ride up was really nice (and safe, no ice on the roads). Jared was really tired and later told me he found a couch in the hospital and just slept for three hours straight.
Most of the speakers were fairly boring or talking about subjects way to advanced for lowly OIT students (lol).
During lunch Jared and I snacked on the sandwiches provided. I didn't want to stay for the Q&A panel at the end so we stayed for another speaker, then left. The guy who spoke before we left turned out to be the best. Jared came and sat with me in the room because it was so entertaining watching from outside. The guy was very charismatic. He talked about motivation and success. I really enjoyed it.

After the VASO Conference:

We went to the mall first to get something to eat and I needed running shoes badly.

We explored the stores and walked around the mall for a while looking at everything.

I took a ton of pictures of the candied apples in this one chocolate shop. They looked delicious and there were dozens of them!

We shared a smoothie and Jared looked at games in Gamestop.

After we'd explored the mall thoroughly....

... we went to find things around town. We stopped at the library...

... but after realizing it was closed, we walked around a few of the blocks nearby.

That was a really good decision because it turned out that the monthly art festival was going on.

We had something similar in Eureka, called Arts Alive. It was one night a month when dozens of local artists would display their work in little shops and businesses in a few blocks.

Usually there are other things going on as well, such as the fire dancer that we saw and the flute players and a band in one corner while a dozen other things were going on. I took a ton of pictures! I also managed to get a brief clip of the fire dancer on my camera too. It was really cool walking around and exploring.

There was this one little flower shop that I didn't get any pictures of unfortunately because my camera died, but it was probably one of my favorite places we stopped in.

I also took pictures of these 'fairy' dollhouses made by one of the local artists. It was really interesting. They were gourds that had been cut open with little ladders and beds and stairs and swings and a ton of other details.

Once we'd exhausted ourselves we finally went back to Klamath Falls.

The most amazing Drum solo I have ever heard...

Man this was just amazing in person!

Click here to see Jon as opening act for the concert on Thursday night.

Tired and Hungry..

So I set the alarm for 5:30 this morning and then, as the alarm went off I realized that I had a cancelled class before my Patho class (thus giving me an hour to study before hand). This prompted me to go back to sleep until 6:30. I have to say that Friday mornings are not my favorite. But oh well..

Hmm, Jared covered some stuff. Let's see what else needs to be caught up on. Lot's of tests - many good, others.. not so good. Jared's doing amazing in all his classes. I wish I could take bio again. I'd take anything over again if it meant not taking my vascular physics class.

Umm... Oh, Kelda's brother came back from his mission the last week or so. And I guess some other people that I know have started coming back. The Messerly kid and, my friend, Naomi's brother too. Naomi's sister was married not too long ago. Jared and I completely forgot to attend swing dance and institute this week. Studying is just not good for the brain sometimes.

Yesterday a friend of mine was the opening act for a concert last night. I didn't attend the concert (that good old studying thing..) but Jon uploaded a video of his act so I'll watch that later today.

As a study break, Jared and I have been watching the first season of House. It's an amazing show and he likes it a lot now :D We also randomly watch a movie inbetween doing things many times too.

Oh and last but not least, I gave a lesson on Sunday. It wasn't too bad - at least.. not for last minute. A mix of being called Friday afternoon and then not remembering till Saturday night made for a very busy Sunday morning. It was good though. I made squash for break-the-fast and the only person who ate any was Jared (and me). Jared made spaghetti-o's and that was nostalgic for a bunch of the girls.

Other than that... umm I can't remember just now. Maybe later today when I'm not running late to class.

So this is to be our journal

Well, I guess I don't really need to date or do anything specific to this in order to show any sort of chronology. Actually, I suppose this marks those things far better than I would have on my own, so in a way it's far better than doing it by hand... weird.
So life. What about it is worth revisiting? All the little moments? The general gist? What I think is important? What you, the reader will think is important? For future generations? Posterity? So I can someday turn this in to a teacher to be grammatically checked? To be turned in to a shrink to determine how sane or insane I may be??? Let's go with the latter.
Today: fairly uneventful. Woke up really late. Didn't have to be anywhere till 2pm due to cancelled bio, so I took my time waking up, putzed around on WoW (World of Warcraft), died on WoW due to multiple connection failures (really fun stuff), went to work for way longer than I thought I would, and have been generally gone back to putzing since work's end.
And why did work last longer than expected you may ask? Becuase I went in to do a simple catering job, getting food and drinks together for a meeting of some sort, finished, and ended up staying about 2 hours longer because someone didn't show for their shift. And with the economy being a bit sluggish, extra hours are great! So not only did I get stuff ready, but I also cleaned stuff, washed stuff, organized stuff, mopped stuff, and in general "deep cleaned".
As for what I think is important, I'm almost level 80 with my Death Knight on Warcraft! Just kidding. But that is exciting to me. I've been playing lately to get Darkchill to 80 so I can join my uncles and cousins in dungeons and whatever else they feel like doing. Half-way through 79 and Brittany has leverage over me to keep me from continuing my leveling process...
As for what you think is important, Brittany and I still have no idea for sure when the marriage is going to take place. But don't worry! We're still together. And rather happy. Well, I'm happy. I'm not entirely sure what she thinks but she certainly acts like she's happy and she's not too good at pretending so I assume it's true.
Umm, I applied at Office Depot and really hope for an interview there, went to a manditory driving meeting for OIT so I can drive to Medford "safely" on school business, and a myriad of things. I would love to go into detail but as mentioned above, Darkchill won't level himself.

I Want to Test This Thingy

Does this have practical value? Hi, thiss is Jaredd, and I'm tryingg to see iff wee wee can use this for are journall.
